Beanie's Story
It Started With Beanie
I found Beanie as a tiny kitten at a remote gas station on a cold December day.
She was sick, weak, skin and bones, and barely hanging on. I couldn't believe her little body had held on until that day. A severe herpes infection had already badly damaged one of her eyes, and she hadn't eaten for so long that she had lost her appetite and refused to eat anything.
She looked like one of those kittens the world had simply forgotten about.
I couldn't leave her there.
I took her to the vet and then home. I fought for her for several days. The vet didn't give her much of a chance, but she fought right alongside me. Against the odds, that tiny, broken little Bean survived, and became a big Bean.

And then she gave me eight wonderful years. Eight years of unconditional love, tortitude, cuddles, laughter, and the kind of bond that only people who have truly loved an animal will understand. She grew from a kitten fighting to stay alive into my beautiful, loving Beanie.
Then, far too soon, damn lymphoma took her from me. 💔
I fought with everything I had, but I couldn't save her this time. Losing her left a big hole in my heart that will never fully heal. I miss her so much.
One Meow Two Souls was created in her memory.

Beanie was lucky enough to be found. But many kittens never are.
Every day, cats and kittens are born on the streets in places where there simply aren't enough resources, shelters, or effective population-control programs. They face hunger, disease, injury, and suffering before they've even had a chance at life.
I don't want Beanie's story to end with her.
That's why 10% of the profits from One Meow Two Souls go toward helping fund spay and neuter efforts for stray and community cats, with a focus on places where local resources and government programs aren't enough.
We may not be able to save every kitten already struggling on the streets, but we can work toward a future where fewer are born there in the first place.
So every ridiculous cat shirt, every terrible cat pun, and every order from this little shop carries a tiny piece of Beanie's legacy with it.
She was one little cat.
But she changed my whole world.
And now, in her memory, I hope we can change the world for a few more.
“Whoever saves a single life, it is as if he has saved an entire world.”
For Beanie. Always in my heart. ❤️
